Group Transport

Airport shuttle service for groups arriving together

Your group lands, collects bags and wants to be on the road, not negotiating a taxi line. A Sprinter van or minibus with a driver, booked ahead, gets everyone out in one go.

Every airport has its own meeting point

There is no single rule. Charter buses at Dulles load at Arrivals Doors 4 and 5, with a Charter Bus Form filed by the operator 24 hours ahead. Harry Reid has pre-arranged limo drivers waiting for passengers in baggage claim. Waiting at the terminal curb is not allowed at Newark, and at Hartsfield-Jackson only permitted limo companies may pick up. Each airport page spells out where your driver will be.

What the rules require

  • Dulles requires pre-arranged reservations for sedan and limo pickups.
  • Interstate bus operators need a USDOT number and FMCSA operating authority.

Why the flight number matters

Send it when you book. The pickup then follows the actual landing, not the scheduled one, and a group arriving on two flights can be planned as one wait or two pickups.

Questions

Will the driver come inside to meet us?

It depends on the airport. Some have meet-and-greet areas inside; others use a set curb or lot. The airport page tells you which.

Do you book airport car service for one or two travelers?

Yes. For a couple of executives, a sedan or SUV with a driver is simpler than a van.

What size vehicle do we need for 10 people with luggage?

A Sprinter can work if bags are modest. With a large suitcase each, a minibus or midsize coach is safer.
