Logan sits about 3 miles from downtown Boston, so the drive itself is short. The pickup is where groups lose time, because every terminal has its own limo stand and commercial vehicles cannot wait in the Cell Phone Lot.

Finding the limo stand at Terminals A, B, C and E

Pre-booked cars and vans at Logan meet you at a terminal limo stand, and limousine service runs by prior reservation only. At Terminal A the stand is in the lot opposite Arrivals. At Terminal B it is on the Departures level, at B-205 to B-208. At Terminal C it is in the Central Garage, and at Terminal E it is Lot 2.

Terminal B catches people out, because you head up to Departures rather than out of baggage claim. Share the stand for your terminal with the whole group before you fly, so the person who lands first can guide everyone else.

Why the driver cannot wait in the Cell Phone Lot

Commercial vehicles are barred from Logan's Cell Phone Lot, which means your booked vehicle cannot sit there while your flight lands. The driver confirms the holding and meeting plan with you before the day and uses your flight number to time the approach. You may see bus stops on the Arrivals curb such as A105 or E107; those are for scheduled buses, so check with the driver before a chartered group gathers there.

Into Back Bay, the Seaport or Cambridge

Downtown is roughly 10 to 25 minutes away. For a group staying in the Seaport District, Back Bay or Cambridge, a Sprinter is often the easiest vehicle to live with. Most downtown tour-bus stops allow only a 15-minute layover, and Storrow Drive is closed to trucks and buses, so a full coach needs a route and a drop point planned around both.

Landing and heading straight out on a day trip

Plenty of groups land at Logan and go straight on to Salem, Plymouth or Cape Cod. If that is your plan, book the same vehicle for the transfer and the outing so the luggage has somewhere to live all day. If your conference is at the Menino Convention Center, out on the South Boston Waterfront, the team can usually travel in one minibus rental and walk straight into registration.

Can we walk up to a limo at Logan when we land?

No. Logan permits limousine service only with a prior reservation, which is why we confirm your booking and the stand for your terminal in advance.

Is the Silver Line a good option for our group?

From the airport, the free SL1 goes to South Station, which suits a light traveller. A family or a team with checked bags usually prefers one vehicle straight to the hotel.

Can a big coach take us to a hotel on Storrow Drive?

Buses cannot use Storrow Drive at all, so the operator plans a route and a drop point off it. Send the exact hotel address and we will check the approach before quoting.
