Los Angeles minibus rental and Sprinter vans with a driver
Your group's LA plans probably stretch from Santa Monica to Hollywood to Anaheim, and nothing here is close to anything else. A Los Angeles minibus rental or a Sprinter van with a driver keeps everyone in one vehicle instead of four rideshares.
Choosing between LAX and the other airports
LAX is the obvious choice but not always the easiest. Measured from downtown, it is about 17 miles to Hollywood Burbank, 24 to Long Beach, 39 to John Wayne in Orange County and 41 to Ontario. For a wedding in Pasadena or a week near Disneyland, the airport nearest your hotel can save a long stretch on the freeway.
At LAX, look for your pre-arranged vehicle at the outer curb islands, which are on the lower Arrivals level right outside baggage claim. Taxis and rideshares use the LAX-it lot beside Terminal 1, which is not where your driver will be, so skip the LAX-it shuttle.

Booking enough hours for LA distances
Downtown to the Anaheim Resort is about 27 miles and anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour, and that spread is typical here. Book hours generously, especially for weekday afternoons, and list the stops in order so the driver isn't crossing town twice. Give us every hotel address up front, because a group split between Santa Monica and Pasadena is two pickups, not one.

Griffith Observatory, the studios and Disneyland
Griffith Observatory doesn't let buses park or wait. The driver drops the group at the horseshoe driveway, leaves, and returns at an agreed time, so settle that time before you walk in. Buses are still allowed through when the road is closed for congestion, which helps on busy weekends.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland make long days. A drop-off in the morning and a pickup after the evening show can cost less than a full day of waiting; tell us which you prefer and we'll quote it that way.
Game days at SoFi and the arenas
SoFi Stadium in Inglewood is home to the Rams and Chargers and hosts Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027, so vehicles for that week will go early. Intuit Dome is also in Inglewood, and Crypto.com Arena sits beside the Convention Center at L.A. Live. A party bus to a Lakers game makes the traffic part of the outing.
Day trips from Los Angeles
Santa Barbara and Palm Springs are each about two hours or a little more, and San Diego two and a half to three. All work as full days in a Sprinter or minibus; start early to stay ahead of the traffic.
Questions
Where does our driver meet us at LAX?
Look for the outer curb islands, right outside baggage claim on the lower Arrivals level. Taxis and rideshares use the LAX-it lot instead.
Can the bus wait for us at Griffith Observatory?
No. A bus drops your group at the horseshoe driveway, then leaves and returns for the pickup.
Should we fly into Burbank instead of LAX?
If you are staying in Hollywood, Pasadena or the Valley, it is often the closer arrival. Tell us your hotel and we'll plan from the airport that suits it.
