Wedding transportation for guests, bridal parties and the ride home
Your guests have flown in, dressed up and want to celebrate without worrying about parking or who is driving. A well-planned wedding shuttle takes that off everyone's mind, from the first hotel pickup to the last ride home.
Shuttling guests between the hotel, ceremony and reception
The usual wedding pattern is a loop: guests picked up at one or two hotels, taken to the ceremony, then on to the reception, with a run or two back at the end of the night. A minibus rental seating roughly 16 to 19 handles most guest loops, a Sprinter suits the bridal party, and a midsize coach moves a large guest list in one go.
Some venues limit what can reach them. New Orleans' Garden District bans buses over 20 seats apart from limited permitted exceptions, so a Garden District ceremony may need Sprinters rather than a coach. Send the exact venue address before you choose the vehicle.

What the rules require
- Vehicles designed for 16+ (incl. driver) need a CDL passenger endorsement.
- NTSB: the 2018 Schoharie limo was dispatched under an out-of-service order.
The quiet safety check worth doing
For-hire vehicles designed for 9 or more occupants are federally regulated commercial vehicles when they cross state lines, and driving anything designed for 16 or more takes a CDL with a passenger endorsement. FMCSA's Bus Safety Search shows an operator's safety history and any out-of-service orders. It matters: the NTSB found the limousine in the 2018 Schoharie crash had been dispatched under an out-of-service order. Your quote names the operator so you can check it.
Timing the last ride home
Receptions rarely end on schedule. Book a fixed last run and, if you can, an earlier one for older guests and families with children. Waiting time and total hours both shape the quote, so tell us the realistic end time, not the hopeful one.
Questions
How many shuttle runs do wedding guests need?
Usually one run to the ceremony, one to the reception if it is elsewhere, and one or two at the end of the night. We will suggest a plan based on your guest list.
Can a big coach reach our venue?
Not always. Some areas, like New Orleans' Garden District, ban larger buses. Send the address and we will check.
How do we check the company driving our guests?
Look up the operator on your quote in FMCSA's Bus Safety Search, which shows safety history and any out-of-service orders.
