Group Transport

Denver airport shuttle pickups for groups and mountain trips

Downtown sits about 25 miles from Denver International, and plenty of groups are heading further still, to Breckenridge or Estes Park. A smooth pickup at the Jeppesen Terminal sets up the rest of the trip.

Level 5, Island 2: the limo booth

At DEN, pre-arranged limo pickups use the limo booth on Island 2, Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal. On the east side use doors 505 to 507 or 511 to 513, and on the west side doors 504 to 506 or 510 to 512. Share the right side with the group before you land, because walking the wrong way through a busy terminal with ski bags is no one's idea of fun.

Worth knowing at Denver International Airport

  • RTD A Line rail runs to Union Station downtown.
  • Island 2 doors: 505-507, 511-513 east; 504-506, 510-512 west.

Minibus and coach pickups at DEN

For a minibus rental or a full coach, expect the driver to fix the exact meeting point with you before you travel. Include the flight number in the booking and the pickup will track the real landing time. With a big group, the leader should call once every bag and every ski case is off the belt, since oversized luggage often takes longer.

A 25-mile run into Denver

Downtown is about 25 miles from DEN, roughly 30 to 50 minutes off-peak. Union Station is reachable on the RTD A Line, which works for a traveller with a carry-on. Conference groups heading to the Colorado Convention Center, and wedding guests staying in LoDo or Cherry Creek, usually find a Sprinter or a minibus the simpler choice.

Straight from the airport to the mountains or Red Rocks

Breckenridge is about 80 miles from Denver and Estes Park about 65, so a mountain transfer adds a good couple of hours. A Sprinter van rental with driver seats 17 to 19, with gear behind the last row; a larger group with skis and boots needs a coach with under-floor bays. For a concert at Red Rocks, Lower South Lot 2 handles bus drop-off, pickup and parking. Rocky Mountain National Park uses seasonal timed entry, though commercial tours run by Commercial Use Authorization holders do not need a reservation.
