LAX airport shuttle pickups for groups: how the outer curb works
LAX has nine terminals and a lot of signs pointing people in different directions. For a group with a pre-booked vehicle, the key is knowing which signs to follow and which to ignore.
The outer curb islands outside baggage claim
Pre-arranged pickups at LAX use the outer curb islands, directly outside baggage claim on the lower, Arrivals level. Terminals 1 to 8 work this way, and so does the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The driver meets your group there once you call to say the bags are in hand.
Until then, the vehicle waits in the Commercial Vehicle Holding Lot, which is reserved for permitted operators. That is why a Sprinter or a minibus can be close at hand without sitting at the curb, and why your call should come when the group is actually ready.
Why your group skips the LAX-it signs
Taxis and ride apps pick up at LAX-it, a lot next to Terminal 1 that you reach by a free shuttle from the inner curb at Arrivals. Those signs are everywhere, and it is easy for a tired group to follow them. Your booked vehicle is not at LAX-it. Stay on the Arrivals level and cross to the outer curb islands.

Most wedding parties, film crews and family groups arriving at LAX fit a Sprinter, with 17 to 19 passengers and a cargo area behind the last row. A team with kit or a large family with long-haul luggage may want a midsize coach with under-floor bays. Split flights across terminals are common, so give us every flight number.
From LAX to Downtown, Anaheim or SoFi Stadium
Downtown LA is about 17 miles away, roughly 30 to 60 minutes, and rush hour pushes it longer. Plenty of groups head somewhere else: Santa Monica, Hollywood, or the Anaheim Resort for Disneyland. Groups flying in for Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on February 14, 2027 should book early, as large vehicles will be in demand across the whole weekend.
