Some groups landing at Sea-Tac are heading straight to a cruise ship; others are conference teams, wedding guests and families. Either way, the pickup happens in the garage, not at the curb.

At Sea-Tac, pre-arranged limos use the garage's 3rd floor, where the Ground Transportation Plaza is. Charter buses use the Northeast Charter Lot, down on Floor 1 of the garage. Both are a walk from baggage claim, so give the group a few extra minutes and keep everyone together crossing over.

The 28th Street check-in for charter buses

Before the pickup, a charter bus has to check in at the 28th Street lot. For pre-arranged limos, the airport has no staging area at all. In practice, the driver times the approach from your flight number and your call, so the group leader should call once the bags are in hand rather than the moment the plane lands.

Airport shuttle to a Seattle cruise ship

Cruise lines run their own buses, which you board on the baggage claim level; a privately chartered vehicle meets you somewhere else. Pier 66 and Pier 91 are about 15 miles from the airport, roughly 30 to 45 minutes. Norwegian and Oceania sail from Pier 66, the other lines from Pier 91, where cruise buses get their own entry and exit. Tell us your line so the drop is right.

A private vehicle suits groups who want to stop at Pike Place Market or a hotel before boarding. The market's charter bus zone, with a 15-minute limit, is on 1st Avenue between Pike and Pine, on the west side.

Downtown, Bellevue and the Convention Center

Downtown is about 14 miles away, roughly 25 to 45 minutes. Link light rail serves the airport, which is fine for travelling light. Conference groups heading to the Seattle Convention Center can be dropped at 800 Convention Place for the Arch building or on 9th Avenue for the Summit. A minibus rental covers most delegations, and a Sprinter suits a team of up to 19.
