Midsize coach rental for groups of 29 to 35

A midsize coach sits between the minibus and the full motorcoach. For a church choir, a corporate team or a class of 35, it is often the vehicle that fits best.

When 35 seats beats 49

Midsize coaches typically seat 29 to 35 passengers. That suits a group too large for a minibus but not big enough to fill a motorcoach, such as a corporate shuttle, a church group, a wedding guest list or a day trip for one class. Booking a bus that matches your headcount means fewer empty seats, and the quote reflects the vehicle you actually need. It is also a comfortable size for a day out, such as a Boston group heading to Plymouth or a Denver group bound for Colorado Springs.

Luggage and restrooms on a smaller coach

Under-floor bays on a midsize coach hold roughly 190 to 285 cubic feet of luggage, less than a full coach but far more than a minibus. That is enough for a weekend retreat or an airport run for a team with bags. Some models include a restroom; the Temsa TS 35 is one and the Van Hool CX35 another. Seats are typically reclining with three-point belts, overhead racks and USB charging.

Lift-ready models are available, so if anyone in your group uses a wheelchair, tell us when you book.

Choosing between a minibus, a midsize coach and a motorcoach

If your group is under 20 and travelling light, a minibus will usually do. If you have more than 35, or a lot of luggage, a full motorcoach is the better bet. In between, the midsize coach gives you real luggage space and coach comfort without booking seats you will not fill. Remember that city rules for buses, like New Orleans' Garden District ban on buses over 20 seats, can still apply.
